The Waverley Igloo!

Another really late post - need to keep a tab on these.... >.<

Anyway, some of you will have heard via this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIpEMIAwAEM that me and my Dad had started to build a rather special snow sculpture!

In a moment of madness, we decided it would be a really good idea to build an actual snow igloo in the back garden. It started out brilliantly, and we had a little system going to try and get it built in one afternoon.

Unfortunately, we never got it finished, as the snow has started to melt in the garden, and we didn't have enough time or energy yesterday to get any remaining blocks built :(

HOWEVER...

Next time it snows heavily, me and my Dad have plans for a slightly smaller igloo that we can get done in an afternoon, and one which could end up being a lot more stable too!

But in the meantime, as well as documenting the igloo-turned-snow-fort on YouTube, we got some pretty great pics too!

Check it out!

The igloo/snow fort

Proud Dad :)

At ease, snow soldier!

It really could have been a whole lot bigger than us!

No really! It could have been!

Even Mum braved the cold to have a look!

Even though we never got to finish the igloo, it's definitely clear that my family are suitably bonkers!

Here's to the next time it snows... :)

P.S. Why Waverley? "Waverley Mount" was the old name for our house when it was first built in 1909!
