The Parents Came Up North!

As it so evidently suggests in the title, my parents came up to York today!

I've gone a month with only seeing them via skype, so it's been rather tough. I know I'm getting/need to get more independent; however, I am a mummy/daddy's girl when it comes to hugs :3

We took a trip to the National Railway Museum, taking a good look at the various trains they had on display - I took lots of photos of them, too many to put here, but I might put some of them on the Pink, Purple and Dinky Facebook group, so take a looky there if you're interested in trains somewhat :)

After the museum, we took a brief trip into York - we visited the always-wonderful Yorkshire Soap Company's York shop so that I could show my parents the new cake candles they have! We also had a lovely chat with Warren, as the shop was pretty quiet from the sounds of how busy the day had been! We also paid a quick visit to Fudge Kitchen to pick up my main treat for the week - Handmade Chocolate Fudge!!! Mmmmm.... :P (See bottom of post for the website!)

I've had a wonderful day with my parents today, I'm really going to miss them - the next opportunity I'll get to see them will either be on a weekend at the end of February (or thereabouts) or when I go back for the Easter holidays at the end of March! More skype then...it'll be worth it though!

Ooh! I forgot to mention! I had my first ukulele lesson yesterday at Red Cow Music! It went really well; I learnt how to play a couple of chords, and how best to strum a basic song!

It needs re-tuning already though - I don't want to scare my neighbours...
