As all of us Brits (and probably the vast majority of everyone else for that matter) will know, this bank holiday weekend (actually bank holiday Tuesday, but we like stretching events out) is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee! So a lot of people are having a lot of parties to celebrate, unsurprisingly.
I'm writing this before heading off to work - well, I say work when I mean "heading off to help run a children's party". Yup, my place of work is no exception! Plus, we get PROPER party food (e.g. cocktail sausages, cheese sticks, pizza, crisps, biscuits, cake and the like), which the kids will love, especially as the snacks they usually get are considered boring.
My other place of work is also having a party on the day of the Jubilee itself, so I'll be working at a till whilst everyone else is munching away on party food! Hopefully my parents'll be able to save me some.... :3
I suppose the best thing about all of this is that there's an inset day tomorrow, so no work!! I'll probably be helping around the house, but maybe I can catch up on a little bit of sleep that I lost earlier this week (my sleeping patterns have gone haywire recently, and I have no idea why)!
And the worst thing?
It's raining.
Again.
Never mind, I'll just have to use my awesome pinky-purple spotty umbrella! :D
