A hyper girl and The White Rabbit...

As you've probably already guessed from my blog title, I love dinky things. For those of you who don't know what "dinky" means, in this blog it generally means cute, small, quaint, and generally the little happy squiggly feeling you get when you see something pleasantly unusual in modern life.

Today, me and one of my best friends, Mary, took a trip into Nottingham. Whilst there, I decided to take her to a small tea shop down one of the roads close to the Broadmarsh Centre (for those who don't know where this is, don't worry, it's not that important). This tea shop is called The White Rabbit, possibly a reference to Alice in Wonderland, but rather than looking insanely untidy, it was quite the opposite.

I, having been to the White Rabbit before, order myself a pot of tea whilst my friend orders a hot chocolate. The conversation starts off normal, but that's when our order arrives. As I'm pouring my tea into a dinky china cup, that's when my friend starts sniggering.

After a few moments of silent mirthing, she explains the reason behind her giggles.

"You looked just like my mum when you poured your tea!" she laughs. "I feel as though we're a couple of old ladies sitting here drinking out of china cups!"

Bearing in mind this is the girl who wants to be wheelchair racing when she finds herself in a nursing home.

Needless to say, she enjoyed the hot chocolate at least...
