Oh my goodness.
*Insert excited squee here*
We did it. We actually went.
Want to know where I've been?
Only the Harry Potter Studio Tour!!!! :D
Me and my parents had such a fantastic time down in Leavesden (near London)! I won't spoil the beginning bit, because that's just too fun :3 but we spotted many awesome things that were in the Harry Potter movies - Dumbledore's office, some of the costumes, the MAHOOSIVE pendulum, Buckbeak, Aragog (I tried not to look at that one... *shudders*) - and of course, the amazing model of Hogwarts Castle!!
Here's a few of the pics we took whilst we were there...
The Great Hall!
Some of the Professors' costumes...
The Yule Ball "drinks dispenser thingy"...
The 'chocolate delight' dessert set (The chocolate phoenix cake is REAL and has survived for SEVEN years!!!)
All the characters' wands
The Gryffindor Boys' dormitories
The tribute left by Warner Bros. Studios to the amazing Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley), who sadly passed away this year
The Gryffindor Common Room
The MAHOOSIVE pendulum
Stephen Fry!! (Sleeping)
Dumbledore's Office (with hidden Richard Harris costume at the top of the stairs)
Various props, including: Slughorn's Hourglass, the Golden Snitch, the Philosopher's Stone, Sirius' prison number, the Deluminator, the Rememberall, Rita Skeeter's quill/notepad and the time-turner amongst others!
"I am Snape, the Potions Master..."
I found out that as Umbridge's power increased, her outfits turned pinker...
*Chug chug chug*
Dad seemed to like the butterbeer...
Mum wasn't too sure! (Sorry Mum)
The Knight Bus!
The bridge! (See the bottom of the post for a special video surprise!)
Fawkes the Phoenix!
Buckbeak! This actually moved along with the behind-the-scenes video behind it. Very clever! :)
Diagon Alley!
And now, possibly the best part of the whole tour...
Hogwarts Castle!!!
This massive model actually switched from day to night! (And back again :P)
Ground floor shot of the castle...
My amazing Mum and Dad in front of Hogwarts!
"Has the letter come through the post yet?"
On our way out of the tour, we went through a room which had all of the handmade wand boxes fixed together. They had all the names of the cast and crew on them - and I happened to find one (near Rupert Grint's) with my name on it! Sure it was spelt with a 'K' and not a 'C', but wow! What are the chances?! :D
Me trying on a Gryffindor robe. I couldn't resist :P
So there we have it, one of the best Easter holidays I've ever had! I wonder what I'm going to do in the Summer holidays to top that?
Well, whatever happens, I tell July and August this...
Bring it. :P
